Yesterday I had the pleasure of spending time with the fantastically talented team at Ugobe and getting to interact with their new robotic life form called Pleo. What is Pleo? Its a robotic life form that is like nothing else you have ever seen before! From the inventor Caleb Chung..."Pleo is the first truly autonomous Life Form capable of emotions that allow personal engagement" When you get a Pleo, it's a one week old infant whose personality will develop over time in reaction to its environment and owner. It is capable of emotion and very life-like behavior which evolves over time. I had read a bit about other people's reviews of seeing Pleo online and even saw a few early photos and video's of the product - but I was truly astonished at how life like, interactive, adorable - fun and cute this robot is live and in person! In the short time I was able to interact with Pleo - I scratched its back, saw it walk around and interact with its environment. At one point it got tired, took a nap and snored! Where can you get a Pleo? Pleo will be on the market later this year, register for updates.
While I cannot disclose the details of our meeting - suffice it to say that the great team at Ugobe are planning some really fun things for Pleo owners online and I look forward to working with them.
